The added value achieved in carrying out the work of the transnational approach concentrates on the activities in the area of innovation build up in the targeted areas. Innovation's economic impact emerges at global scale and capitalizes on the critical mass of innovative actions exercised in the area. The innovation systems build in North-Western Europe (highlighting Finland, Sweden) required the existence of a transnational cooperation platform providing added value to national resources.
MEDI-CUBE added value derives from the networking action sharing the innovation resources. The poor innovation performance at national level in the targeted areas would be benefited from the cooperation and sharing of innovation resources increasing the impact results of innovative actions to SMEs. Thus, increasing the critical mass of innovative actions could impact the direct investment from public (national and EC) and private funds directed towards innovation in the area.
