MEDI-CUBE background is set on the extensive work on innovation building capacity of URENIO Research Unit. The main problem addresses the gap between intention and reality in technology support where it is much more important in the South where public technology and innovation environment is rather poor1.
The objectives of the project are:
- To create a fertile environment inside incubators where innovation will flourish among the participant start-up companies
- To improve innovation build up capacity in the remote areas of South-eastern Europe
- To advance networking in capitalizing on the innovative characteristics of the area
The partnership is composed of an innovation facilitator (URENIO Research Unit) part of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki that will play the main role in innovation build up technology transfer.
In Greece, Italy and Israel, intermediaries and public authorities participate to engage the targeted incubators that will act as users of the project. The project implement a series of tools, applications, agreements and events enabling incubators to offer advanced technology and innovation services to their tenant companies and to external organisations.
